question
david f.g. asked:
The problem I've encountered is: french accents in SupememoCE are not shown properly. Instead, I see a set of strange symbols. Apart from that, the program seems to run perfectly
hint
- you need to be able to type in those chararacters in other applications too
- see: Problems_with_Arabic_on_Pocket_PC
followup
- I checked \windows\fonts
- my language on PC and pocket PC is French
- in my SupermemoCE, Mode-> Encoding, the option Unicode appears as marked
- in my xml file (attached), all French accents show correctly (sent to pocket(AT)supermemo.com)
answer
XML files used to import learning material to SuperMemo for Pocket PC must use the appropriate encoding.
